About the Company A thriving family owned concrete pumping business based in West Auckland is looking for a new Office Manager. This role reports up to the General Manager and it is critical to the successful day to day running of the business. There are no formal staff management responsibilities but you will work closely with bookings, dispatch and operations managers.
We are looking for a well organised and resilient person who is used to working in a busy and dynamic environment where priorities can change quickly due to weather and other external factors. Due to the nature of the business this is an office bound 5 days a week role and there is not the opportunity to work from home. About the Role Specific responsibilities include Debtors, Creditors, Payroll and miscellaneous financial and administrative tasks.
No job is too big or small. You will also be the inhouse Health and Safety officer and HR Manager attending to all related activities. Simply put you will responsible for making sure that what needs to be done, gets done Xero is the accounting system and there is the opportunity to make a considerable contribution to improving systems and procedures by making greater use of Excel spreadsheets to automate and simplify processes.
About You Suitable candidates will have a demonstrated background as an office manager in a related industry such as transport or contractor services where scheduling of resources is paramount. An appreciation of the concrete sector will be a distinct advantage. You will need to be practical and well organised with a particular attention to details.
Superior communication skills are absolutely essential and the ability to think on your feet and make decisions when the pressure is on is important.
