The Role The payroll manager reports directly into the CFO and has 1 direct report. This is a contract role covering leave, where you will ensure the smooth running of the full payroll function that is outsourced to Datapay, as well as generating routine reports. Your duties will include: Ensuring the efficient and timely processing of 3 payroll cycles for over 1,600 employees Overseeing payroll administration such as setting up of new employees, terminations etc.

Have an understanding of various collectives and unions Strong knowledge of NZ legislation Final authorisation before Datapay process the final payment runs Provide support, advice and guidance to managers nationally Complete information requests and surveys as required i.e ACC, immigration documents Ad hoc duties as required Your profile: We are looking for a seasoned Payroll Manager with proven ability to lead and motivate a team. You will be results focused with the ability to prioritise, you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships.

Experience working across various systems will be beneficial and you will enjoy working under pressure and to tight deadlines with the ability to make fast decisions.
