Opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist to make a difference for individuals with Lymphoedema in a permanent full-time position (part-time will also be considered for an ideal candidate) Te whiwhinga mahi | The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Physiotherapist to join our Lymphedema service. This is a permanent up to 1 FTE position. The Te Toka Tumai Lymphoedema service provides specialist assessment and treatment for people of all ages living with lymphoedema.

The service aims to minimise the impact of disabilities or personal health issues and works in partnership with clients and their whnau to promote independence and self-management. The service provides day to day clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment planning for clients diagnosed with lymphedema or lipoedema. Clinician needs to demonstrate good caseload and waitlist management and the ability to drive key quality improvements and agreed initiatives within the service.

Clinician will be working alongside your wider Allied Health/Nursing colleagues using an interdisciplinary model to deliver high quality and effective services. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive team alongside another Senior Clinician, the wider MDT within a community locality approach to care. The service is primarily delivered in an outpatient clinic. However, we do support clients who are unable to leave the home due to physical limitations in the home setting. Click here to view the position description Nga Pkenga Motuhake | Important Skills As the ideal person for this role, you will have the following skills and attributes: New Zealand registration as a Physiotherapist with a current Annual Practicing Certificate Clean, full New Zealand drivers' licence 8 years post-graduate clinical experience including experience working with individuals with Lymphoedema Experience in clinical leadership and teaching Ability to work collaboratively with a range of professional groups in a multidisciplinary bicultural environment Excellent self-management and organisational skills A flexible, pro-active approach with excellent communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrate an understanding of the significance of and obligations under Te Tiriti o Waitangi, including how to apply Te Tiriti principles in a meaningful way in your role In this influential role you will: Apply advanced knowledge, skills, clinical reasoning and utilises evidence based practice Provide specialist consultation and clinical teaching based on contemporary best practice Provide clinical leadership for the Lymphoedema Service through audit, evaluation of service and client outcomes Support the development of the wider Community Health Services by providing specialist advice and input into policy, planning and resources Evaluate and implement service improvements for the Lymphoedema Service For more information.
