Job Description Dunedin Netball Player & Coach Development Lead Location Netball Office, Edgar Centre, Portsmouth Drive, Dunedin Reports to Dunedin Netball General Manager Direct reports Programme Coaches Other key Dunedin Netball Board relationships Other Dunedin Netball Employees and Contractors Netball South Staff Member Clubs, Member Secondary, Intermediate and Primary Schools Edgar Centre Staff Players, Coaches, Umpires and Bench Officials Netball Community Volunteers Hours Fixed Term 10 hours per week 11 March to 30 August 2024 Main responsibilities Key delivery and management role attending to requirements of centre player and coach development from Y9 onward. Delivery of programmes, including but not limited to: o Y7 - 10 Development programmes o U16, U18, Open, Mens Development Days o Y9&10, U16, U18, Open and Mens trials coordinator, selector and convenor of selectors Management of programme coaches Coach Lead for Dunedin Centre o Meet regularly with coaches and ensure development needs are being met o Identify coach needs and propose informal learning opportunities o Plan and publicise coach development opportunities o Connect with suitable coach contacts to deliver when required o Set up a coach page on social media specifically for Dunedin Netball coaches to engage and share Adhere to and adopt health and safety legislation and organisational policies and procedures. Any other tasks as directed by the General Manager Personal qualities and experience Previous experience in sport development delivery.

Netball coach qualification essential. Experience in coaching essential. Superior customer interaction skills.

Clear, confident communicator. Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines. Enthusiastic, committed and reliable with a high level of professionalism.

Ability to solve problems, think on your feet and perform under pressure. Relates well to a diverse range of people. Assured independent worker.
