M te tnga | About the role This is one of five roles advertised for the Portfolio Management Office within Defence Estate and Infrastructure (DEI). A key member of the Portfolio Management Office, the Portfolio Stakeholder and Governance Advisor will develop and maintain stakeholder relationships for DEI.
This will include developing and maintaining a framework for stakeholder engagement, supporting the Portfolio Management Office with a focus on stakeholder engagement and governance. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive and systematic secretariat support to the three monthly single service liaison meetings. Developing effective relationships throughout NZDF with senior users and stakeholders will be essential for success.
With support from the Senior Governance Advisor, you will provide secretariat support and governance advice for DEI by consulting on the governance system, business cases and decision documents. This role must be based in Wellington CBD. Once you have undergone training and are up to speed, there is the option of working from home one-two days a week.

Experience with portfolio, programme and project management (P3M) is desirable but not essential. Secretariat experience with minutes/agendas/action keeping is advantageous, however training and development support is available to a suitable candidate with strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
