Salary : dependent on experience and professional registration but will recognise the leadership nature of this role. The PHO is on a mission with our partners; Te Whatu Ora Te Tai o Poutini, and Poutini Waiora, to transform the experience of tngata whaiora on the West Coast. We want consumers and their whnau to experience improved access to care and we will do this by improving collaboration between providers.
This Primary Mental Health Clinical Liaison / Lead will: Develop a whole-of-system model of care across the continuum of mental health services. This will encompass a single point of entry approach and a shared triage service. Work with our partners to make visible pathways to kaupapa Mori and Rongoa Mori services.
Create improved access to advice from specialist mental health staff for primary and community clinicians. Examine opportunities to shift some specialist care services into primary or community care settings. We are looking for someone who has experience either in mental health services (primary, secondary or community) or in general practice or kaupapa Mori organisations.
You may be a GP, a Nurse, a Social Worker or any other type of registered professional but whatever your professional role you will need to have a desire to do things differently and the ability to lead change. Because this a job that is grounded in relationships the successful candidate will need to live and work on the West Coast. Candidates will need the right to work in New Zealand and, as this is a clinical role, must be currently registered with their professional body.
