The Principal Advisor - Benefit Management will: Be the 'go to' person for benefit management expertise and practice across NZTA Waka Kotahi Maintain the benefit management process so that actions are clear, time-bound and well communicated, ensuring stakeholders can meet expectations Expand benefit management to support the achievement of performance outcomes and early stage benefit definition for new initiatives Maintain a Master register of benefits to ensure consistent terminology and categorisation of benefits, aligned to the Land Transport Benefits and report on benefit delivery performance and ensure information is of known quality Lead and support the uplift in benefit capability in the Portfolio Offices and across the NZTA | Waka Kotahi enterprise. This will include a community of practice. Assess and provide assurance on benefits and associated benefit definition documents, including the benefit profiles Work with colleagues in the EPMO to establish monitoring and reporting on the performance of the portfolios Work closely and establish good relationships with key enabling teams, including Finance and Performance Management Take part in Portfolio team and wider EPMO improvement work to ensure we can successfully deliver on our roadmap of change To view a copy of the position description, click here.
About you | Ko koe tneiThe ideal candidate for this role will bring: Experience in driving the adoption of a benefit practice, including proven ability to coach and develop the capability in others Ability to bring together diverse stakeholders to deliver plans and initiatives and make sure that the stakeholders are fully committed to the process and outcomes Experience in provision of senior management level reporting on benefit process and benefit delivery performance and are proactive about getting targets to where they need to be A desire to share what you have with others, while maintaining your own expertise Curiosity about how things work and will look for opportunities to make things work better and more efficiently for those who use our services. You will make sure that changes can be adopted by our portfolios Collaboration and joined up thinking: we need to strengthen all parts of our P3M system.
