Te tranga - The roleOur Legal Directorate provides legal services to Te Ptea Matua on wide ranging matters, including legislation administered by the Te Ptea Matua and on matters relevant to our functions and commercial transactions.We are looking for a Principal Legal Counsel to join our high performing Legal team. This is a leadership role, based on both legal expertise and experience.
In this role you will: Provide professional and thought leadership on complex and challenging legal issues. Mentor and coach junior team members and provide peer review. Act as the subject matter experts across finance, public law, insolvency, banking and commercial material.
Develop and maintain key internal and external relationships. pkenga - About youYou are a highly experienced legal professional ideally from a financial or banking background. You will have expertise in the following areas: Thought leadership with the ability to operate independently across significantly complex, importance and urgent legal issues.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
