Lead the delivery of the Simplification Programme at DOC. 6-month fixed-term contract. Full-time, Wellington based, hybrid working environment.

He angittanga | About the role Reporting to the Deputy Director-General (DD-G), Organisational Support, the Director, Simplification Programme will lead the delivery of our Simplification Programme to the organisation. The Simplification Programme's vision of Enabling Papatnuku Thrives by simplifying the way we work' underpins the key deliverables of improving our systems and processes, creating efficiencies and savings, as well building change capability to support our organisation into the future. The position will be focussed on: providing strategic direction, identifying priority focus areas to reinforce DOC's strategic context in response to the dynamic environment overseeing the programme of work to ensure delivery of desired deliverables and benefits assessing the impact of change and develop strategies to mitigate risk and resistance, foster a positive culture, and drive adoption of new processes and technologies working collaboratively with leaders and key stakeholders to gain support and deliver the programme of work across various projects and workstreams identifying capabilities required to deliver the programme, ensuring the project is resourced appropriately providing high quality communication, information and advice to the Senior Leadership Team, DD-G and various groups to ensure they have the right information to make informed decisions leading a small team providing guidance and support so they can deliver pieces of work successfully supporting DOC to operate as an honourable Treaty Partner, ensuring leader-led behaviour through the use and promotion of te reo and tikanga.

Ng pkenga me ng wheako | Skills and experience If you have the following attributes, we are keen to hear from you: significant experience in programme management and delivering successful organisational change initiatives at a strategic level experience working in a fast-changing agile environment, ideally with an operational workforce skill in using a range of project management approaches, eg agile and waterfall with a comprehensive understanding of programme management frameworks excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels strategic mindset and the ability to align change efforts with broader organisational.
