The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi We are seeking an early career Project Manager with some clear experience of running projects. You will be joining a team of high-performing Project Managers working across a wide portfolio of construction projects. You'll play a vital role in ensuring the successful completion of estate-wide Capital Works projects and contribute to our Minor Capital Works and Cyclical Maintenance program.
Your responsibilities will include managing internal and external construction teams, overseeing tender processes, and ensuring projects meet specifications, timelines, and budgets. You will manage a range of projects that can include commercial office and retail fit-outs, accommodation improvements, lab and teaching space upgrades, heritage, landscaping projects, and replacement/refits of MEP services. What you are expected to deliver: Lead the development of project briefs in collaboration with end-users and stakeholders.
Guide the design team to deliver sustainable design solutions. Contribute to the development of business cases and ensure progress to approval. Oversee the procurement process, from tender document preparation to contract letting.
Lead and manage construction delivery teams, ensuring adherence to H&S policies. Manage stakeholder engagement and employ strategic and risk management processes. For more detailed information, please refer to the Position Description.
