We are designing and delivering the Hospital Network needed to meet the health needs of our growing communities and be an effective regional complex care provider of tertiary specialist services. The Front of Whare project seeks to address the current challenges with emergency care at Ng Puna Waiora; Wellington Regional Hospital.
The ultimate goal of this Project is to improve health outcomes for those people we are here to serve, by providing timely and safe access to ED and interdependent services, with a workforce that is also able to support that goal. This will provide a relocated and expanded Te Pae Tiaki Wellington Emergency Department, and an expanded acute service offering in the Medical Assessment and Planning Unit, Surgical Assessment and Planning Unit, Intensive Care Unit, and adult inpatient beds, at Wellington Regional Hospital. The Project will be delivered over several stages across four years.
In this role you will: Champion and manage projects as assigned within the Hospital Network programme, such as the Front of Whare project, from scoping, to business case for implementation, and in some cases through to evaluation Work with subject matter experts, clinical teams and our partners across Te Whatu Ora to develop facility designs and service delivery models within your assigned project area(s) In partnership with commissioners and clinical and operational leaders, actively engage with communities and service providers (community and hospital) to develop innovative and mana-enhancing approaches to service delivery across the continuum of where people access their health care services.
