As a Psychologist you will play a critical role in our regions Learning Support team by; Identifying patterns or contributing factors that may be influencing learning, wellbeing and behaviour. Enhancing inclusive practices in early learning services, schools and other educational settings.

Providing professional support and guidance to schools, teachers and families and building the capacity of those who are best placed to support the learning of children and young people. Providing appropriate in-depth specialist assessment and analysis for evidenced informed interventions. Working as part of a trans-disciplinary team where a childs needs are complex.

Providing objective consultative analysis, advice and information on project requirements. Applying the principles of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child, the Disability Strategy, and other relevant government initiatives and strategies, in all aspects of service provision, and, where appropriate, participate effectively in their implementation. Salary range: $82,928 - $117,928 per annum 3% kiwi saver.

About you | Mhou ake To be successful you will need; A Masters level tertiary qualification and a post-graduate Diploma in Educational Psychology or equivalent. To be a New Zealand Registered Psychologist under the Health Practitioners Competency Assurance Act and hold a current practicing certificate, OR be registered as an Intern Psychologist having gained entry to a Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology that will enable you to gain full registration as a psychologist under the HPCAA.

The ability to translate practitioner knowledge into practical information and to co-ordinate service provision in a multi-agency, trans-disciplinary setting. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively with children, young people and their families and teachers across a diverse range of cultures and settings.
