About this role | M tnei tranga As a Te Kahu T | Intensive Wraparound Service Psychologist, you will work as part of a team to understand the needs of the young person and family, and implement evidence-based interventions in your areas of expertise.

More specifically, you will: Identify patterns or. contributing factors that may be influencing learning, wellbeing and behaviour Contribute to strength-based collaborative team processes to meet the young person's underlying needs Provide ongoing, individualised and dynamic psychological assessment and intervention Support all those around the child to use evidence-informed practice Monitor implementation effectiveness by supporting data collection and informed decision making. This role is based in the Hawkes Bay region offering a fantastic lifestyle and work-life balance opportunity working in one of New Zealands sunniest locations.

About you | Mhou ake To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following capabilities and competencies: Be a New Zealand Registered Psychologist under the Health Practitioners Competency Assurance Act and hold a current practicing certificate; OR, be registered as an Intern Psychologist having gained entry to a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology that will enable you to gain full registration as a psychologist under the HPCAA; The ability to contribute your specialist skills within multi-agency, trans-disciplinary settings where the child/youth are at the centre of everything you do Excellent communication and interpersonal skills An ability to work effectively with children, young people and their families, teachers and other professionals across a diverse range of settings The ability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tirirti o Waitangi and tangatawhenuatanga.
