This is an opportunity to make a difference within the Radiology department within Wellington and Kenepuru Hospitals as an integral member of the Radiology team.
The Radiographic assistant role (would suit someone with Health Care Assistant (HCA) background) within the department is hugely varied and works closely with the Radiologists, Medical imaging technologists and our nursing colleagues. The main duties involve: Assist Radiologist team with Biopsy procedures Helps manage workflow and bookings across the day/week in various imaging areas Assistance in MRI, CT, Ultrasound and any other modality as requested Necessary supplies are appropriately ordered and stocked Procedure rooms are cleaned and tidied, any spills or waste appropriately cleaned up The successful applicant will have the opportunity to contribute directly to the service and care of our patients with additional opportunity for development within the department. This role is for two days/week (Tuesday and Wednesday) and you will be part of the RA team that covers both the Radiology Department at Wellington Hospital and Kenepuru Hospital.
