Located on the same site are both our Community Ministries team (social services) and corps/church-based programmes. About the Role: The Receptionist assists the Corps in fulfilling its mission being the first point of contact for the public and carrying out general clerical and organisational duties.
We are looking someone with a professional, positive and a can-do attitude. As the receptionist is the 'Go To' person for all clients, they will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and offer empathy and patience when interacting with clients. What will your responsibilities be: Provide a warm welcome, and responsive point of connection for all visitors.
Conduct general administration duties including answering phones and responding to emails. Connect people to Community Ministries and Corps programmes that meet individual needs. Complete data input and reporting in a timely manner.
Provide administrative and service delivery tasks for the wider team. Our ideal candidate will have: A strong understanding of and a heart for social justice issues. A cooperative and communicative attitude, easily relating to people from diverse and vibrant communities.
The ability to clearly communicate, engage and network with a wide range of people; be a self-starter. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills which are essential. The ability to oversee multiple tasks at once.
A willingness to work within Tikanga and develop an understanding of Te Tiriti.
