About Us: We are seeking a Security Assurance Consultant to join our growing Government Chief Digital Officer (GCDO) Security Assurance Team. The cyber security team leads and influences security assurance and risk management practices across government, working with both ICT suppliers and government agencies. We are strengthening, simplifying, optimising, and digitising to ensure that security practice across agencies and our partners is in place.

About the Role: In this role you will help to provide guidance and advice around security assurance, risk and security controls in conjunction with the wider team to key stakeholders. This role is perfect for a security professional at the start of their career looking to develop a range of skills while being part of our cyber security journey.
You will be able to learn from a diverse team across all levels of the business and gain immense experience. This will include: Provide ICT Security advice with a focus on risk, compliance, assurance and reporting. Provide guidance on security strategies to manage identified risks including identifying, analysis and security controls.
Assist in the development of key cyber security artefacts, including strategy policy, and procedures. Continuous monitoring of risk assessments and best practice solutions. Assist in the development of security policies, standards, guidelines, and processes.
Providing specialist security assurance guidance and direction to internal stakeholders and third-party providers. Develop and maintain security accreditation documentation, ensuring continuous improvement in cyber security reporting and oversight. Salary band is from $86,484 - $116,172. This appointment will be made dependent on relevant skills and experience to the role.
