He angittanga: The opportunity The role of our Financial Reporting team is to ensure that investors have access to the information they need to make informed decisions, and market participants have clear and well understood responsibilities.

We work with every major entity in New Zealand, so this role offers a unique view and ability to compare and contrast against an entire industry. As a Senior Adviser, you'll be joining a small team responsible for monitoring financial reporting compliance of Financial Market Conduct (FMC) reporting entities and ensuring their financial statement disclosures are of a high standard. You will also be drafting guidance notes and other key reports to provide clear and well-understood information to market participants.

You'll gain exposure you to a breadth of work including audit quality reviews, consideration of continuous disclosure matters, as well as other misconduct enquiries and investigations. Working across high profile or contentious matters, the key to your success in this role will be your ability to develop strong relationships with senior leaders in FMC reporting entities to influence positive changes and make an impact across the sector. You'll be joining a friendly and well respected team who are passionate about creating positive change on financial reporting and auditing standards.

Several years' experience in technical accounting advisory and/or financial statements audits in one of the major accounting firms or other relevant regulatory experience in financial reporting and auditing Excellent knowledge of the applicable accounting standards in New Zealand In depth knowledge of financial reporting requirements as they apply to FMC reporting entities Strong analytical, critical thinking and reasoning skills Proven report writing skills Strong strategic stakeholder management experience, including the ability to communicate effectively in challenging.
