Senior Certification Officer Location: Hamilton City Employment Type: Permanent Applications Close: 03 March 2023 Are you Hamilton City Council's next Senior Certification Officer? Our Regulatory Services Team are looking for an experienced Senior Certification Officer to join our team. Work is continuing to flow through the door, but in order to keep up with demand and maintain our high-level of service, we are looking for a Senior Certification Officer to join our team. This is a key role and link between Council, owners, designers and building practitioners. On a day to day basis you will be assessing Building Consents and inspection information for the issuing of Code of Compliance Certificates and Compliance Schedules. You will enjoy working with your colleagues and your experience will provide technical leadership and direction to the team.

You are confident in providing accurate and professional advice to our customers. You love having variety in your work. You have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
For this role you must: Hold an appropriate NZ technical Regulation 18 qualification. Have a minimum of 5 years' experience in a Building Control environment. Knowledge and experience with the Building Control regulatory framework including the Building Act, Building Code and related standards.
Ability to understand and assess building plans and documentation. What's in it for you?
