About this role Are you passionate about creating thoughtful and sustainable landscape planning and design projects that change our cities and communities for the better? As a Senior Landscape Architect, you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team working on all stages of the project lifecycle on projects across New Zealand. Bring your passion for design, your curiosity, and your technical know-how to continue delivering transformational projects for our clients and 'new positive' outcomes for our communities and environment.
What will I do? Lead the planning and design of outdoor spaces, parks, landscapes and urban environments showcasing expertise in landscape architecture. Responsible for the performance and development of others through providing guidance, training, direction and feedback. Project manage small to medium sized projects, delegating and managing tasks of junior team members.
Develop comprehensive landscape design concepts, site plans and planting schemes incorporating creative and innovative solutions. Collaborate closely with architects, urban planners and civil engineers to seamlessly integrate landscape designs within project goals. Ensure compliance with landscape regulations and environmental considerations.
Oversee the preparation of landscape material for submission for planning consent. Oversee the preparation of landscape construction documents and comprehensive cost estimates. Support the Landscape Architecture Lead to help grow and develop the landscape service offering in New Zealand.
What will I bring? Recognised relevant tertiary qualifications in Landscape Architecture or similar area. Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office. Knowledge of GIS, Revit, 3D modelling software desirable.
Proven working knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, codes of practice and guidelines in New Zealand. Strong visual communication skills and an ability to share ideas through sketching and hand drawing. Ability to persuade and inspire through compelling communication and subject expertise, driving positive change and gaining support.
