He angittanga | About the role As a Senior Ranger, you will perform a planning and advisory function to the Operations Manager to support the implementation of the biodiversity operational work programmes. Your work will be focussed across the Auckland Inner Islands District covering a diverse range of ecosystems from marine to coastal, as well as other significant natural areas within the district including Te Hauturu-o-Toi. The role provides advice and support to the Auckland Inner Islands team on biodiversity issues, including threatened species management (the district hosts a number of species includes kiwi, Kkp, Tturuatu/ Shore plover, takah, hihi, tuatara) threatened plants, weed management, island biosecurity as well as playing a crucial role in the maintaining high level stakeholder relationships with iwi, island community groups, Auckland Council and other external agencies.
You will be responsible for leading the planning and prioritisation of the teams' work program, undertaking performance monitoring, and reporting, and having oversight of the teams' finances.
