It will primarily support New Zealand Government Procurement and/or the Government Property Group (depending on the successful candidates previous experience). New Zealand Government Procurement is the System Leader for Government Procurement.

This is an opportunity to have significant impact, helping the New Zealand Government Procurement system deliver greater public value for New Zealanders by leveraging the approximately $51.5 billion that government agencies spend on goods and services each year (20% of GDP).
The Government Property Group is the System Leader for Government Property. It is responsible for optimising the performance and public value of the government's office portfolio. The portfolio is significant, encompassing approximately a million m2 of office space and a rental spend of circa $330 million per year across 73 agencies, including Crown Agents.
It is a pivotal time for the Government Property Group as it looks to strengthen the leadership of government office accommodation. The Commercial Legal Team provides legal advice on a wide range of commercial transactions. Salary range: Senior Solicitor 1 $112K - $138K Senior Solicitor 2 $132K - $160K Ng pukenga me ng wheako e hiahiatia ana - Skills and Experience Required You will have: Significant experience drafting, reviewing, and negotiating either general commercial contracts (ideally including panel contracts) AND/OR commercial property contracts such as agreements to lease, deeds of lease and development agreements. Experience in procurement law, public and administrative law and/or ICT contracting would also be useful, but is not essential. Commercial acumen and excellent relationship management and communication skills, including the ability to simplify complex issu.
