Social Worker - National Contact Centre Exciting opportunity for an experienced Social Worker to join our National Contact Centre team. The role location is flexible, and we are open to applications from candidates across New Zealand. Permanent role working daytime hours Monday-Friday, with a commitment from the successful candidate to work 1 weekend day shift a month.

This shift could fall on either a Saturday or Sunday. We offer competitive remuneration for this position which starts between $81,206 and $97,557 depending on experience. We also offer competitive penal rates for rostered employees.

In order to make positive changes in the lives of tamariki, rangatahi and whnau in our community, we need people who have knowledge, experience and are passionate about whnau wellbeing. Our contact centre is a fast-paced environment and your ability to manage a changing workload staying focused on support tamariki, rangatahi and whnau is vital. In this role you will: Receive reports of concern and work with our notifiers to ensure the needs of tamariki, rangatahi and whnau are fully met Hear tamariki and rangatahi voices and support them and their whnau to make positive change Complete initial assessments for tamariki, rangatahi and whnau Work alongside partners in our community, non-government organsiations and state sector agencies On afterhours our work also includes responding to and supporting the co-ordination of our response to urgent situations Ng pmanawatanga u | What you will bring Key requirements of the role include: Understanding and appreciation of cross-cultural practices in particular; knowledge of tikanga Mori, and Pacific peoples' culture A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi Full registration with New Zealand's Social Work Registration Board (SWRB) Sound assessment, reasoning and judgement skills Demonstrated resilience, problem solving techniques and flexibility Excellent written and oral communication skills An authentic commitment to working alongside whnau is essential Soft skills, emotional empathy, team work and leadership A positive outlook and readiness to ch.
