This is a hugely varied role across in and out patient, community, adults and paediatrics, working with clients and the clinical team to maximise communication, assess and manage acute and long standing impairments, contribute to discharge planning and provide ongoing intervention to support people to remain as functional as possible in their homes and communities. This is a permanent position working 80 hours per fortnight across Monday to Friday. There is no on call work and we can be flexible with reduced hours if need be.
Skills and experience We are looking for a Speech Language Therapist who is flexible and adaptable, thrives in a team environment, and is focused on delivering the best possible clinical care for clients. In addition: A solid, experienced Speech Language Therapist who is a registered member of the NZ Speech Language Therapists' Association and holds a current APC. The ability to triage and prioritise workload to ensure those with the greatest need are seen first.
Used to managing a caseload of both in and outpatients, ideally with paediatrics experience. Acute inpatient dysphagia management experience essential. With such a diverse caseload you'll be a strong problem solver and will be comfortable to reach out for professional support and to connect and network.
