Te Whatu Ora Health New Zealand (Nelson Marlborough) formerly NMDHB Permanent part-time roles available (0.8 & 0.6 FTE) 64 hours per fortnight and 48 hours per fortnight Provide an essential hospital-wide service Ng mhiohio e p ana ki tnei mahi (About this position) Our team of Theatre / Sterile Services Technicians work in our modern Operating Theatre suite at Nelson Hospital sterilising and processing reusable instruments and equipment for the operating theatres and other hospital departments, as well as assisting nursing teams with patient transportation, theatre cleaning and equipment provision.

Permanent employees have the opportunity to study towards the National Certificate in Sterilising Technology (Level 3/4), from the New Zealand Open Polytechnic; the cost of which will be met by the hospital, if not already attained. The full-time equivalent salary range for this position is $59,842 to $72,737 based on the PSA MECA dependent on skills, experience, and registration in NZ. We have two part-time permanent positions available (0.

8 FTE) working 64 hours per fortnight and 0.6 FTE working 48 hours per fortnight. Hours will be flexible, rostered and rotating Monday to Sunday.
