The opportunity | Te Whiwhinga mahi We are seeking a Student Support Improvement Manager to play a key role in supporting the Director of Campus life to lead and coordinate student experience initiatives in Campus Life and across the University. A recent review of support and engagement services has resulted in a suite of recommended enhancements to the Universitys pastoral care systems, structures and processes in the form of a Function Improvement Plan. The plan seeks to ensure full compliance with the Code of Pastoral Care and, going beyond compliance, to optimise student support and engagement services.
Your duties will include: Operational and Project Management: Utilises project management experience to deliver initiatives in the Student Engagement and Support the FIP. Play a coordination and tracking role for other initiatives in the FIP that are being led by others. Deliver presentations, talks or updates on activity related to the role to various stakeholders, internal and external.
Reporting: Coordinate the Universitys reporting requirements relating to the Pastoral Care Code of Practice. Support annual attestations, self-reviews, thematic reviews and other reporting and regulation requirements of the Pastoral Care Code of Practice. Manage reporting relating to key internal and external requirements including those associated with the Pastoral Care Code of Practice and Ministry of Health funding of student wellbeing services.
Stakeholder Engagement: Develop and implement a stakeholder plan to ensure that key stakeholders across the University are aware of and can contribute to the requirements of the Pastoral Care Code of Practice. Liaise with elected student representatives as required, to provide updates and obtain the student voice in decision making. Conduct Code and Policy Development: You will play a key role in ensuring that the University is compliant with the Pastoral Care Code of Practice by advising on and coordinating reports.
