We are looking for two Superwide Digital Print Operators to join the team in Auckland. Job tasks listed below. Loading print media onto media feed mechanisms.

Print jobs to the schedule as set by production manager. Setting, adjusting and monitoring substrate feed mechanisms, delivery mechanisms, inking systems and other printing machine functions. Monitoring, evaluating and determining press operations manually and by computer to check print quality standards against proofs and detect malfunctions.

Monitoring machine operations and quality of print throughout print runs to identify: banding, head strikes, incorrect colour etc. Transfer appropriate digital print files to printer if required. Trim printed material and perform in-house finishing as per instructions, either by Zund digital cutter or by hand when appropriate.

Check printer status daily and report any issues that cannot be recovered by standard maintenance routines. Keep routine maintenance and cleaning up to date on devices as per maintenance schedule. Minimise material wastage through effective proofing and setup processes, identification of sub standard prints early in the run.

Record print data for usage and wastage of materials. Provide effective production communication with the Print Operators and/or Supervisors on the following shift. Troubleshoot production issues and provide effective communication with the Production Manager and/or Operations manager regarding production and/or machine issues.

Heavy lifting is involved. Candidate must have at least one years of Superwide Digital Print experience. Specifically HP Latex and UV machines as well as fabric dye sublimation processes.

We are interested in a person that is flexible with their working hours and has the experience and ability to hit the ground running, but also to learn quickly from our experienced team. Positions Available 2 Employment is for a minimum 40hrs a week, with rotating shifts from 7am-3:30pm and 3pm-11:30pm Monday to Friday, plus some overtime as required. Flexibility to also work weekends if required is essential.

Pay rate is $30 - $32 per hour depending on experience. The position is based in Auckland. Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa.
