We are responsible for designing community-based systems of care, agreeing health and wellbeing plans, executing those plans, and monitoring outcomes which then feed into the design process.
We work in partnership with our Te Whatu Ora and Te Aka Whai Ora colleagues to shape system-wide public health services across the motu. The System Design Manager is a member of a life course team tasked with leading, in partnership with Te Aka Whai Ora, the system and service redesign within their life course and radically improve Mori Health and eliminate inequities. The System Design Manager has strong problem solving and systems thinking skills, including change and influencing skills.
Ng pkenga me ng weako | Skills and experience Demonstrated experience in leading system and service design and implementation in the particular life course, including seeking lived experience and or whnau voice and aspirations. Can demonstrate system thinking and problem solving that delivers collaborative, equity-based solutions. Experience influencing highly skilled, high performing and engaged professional teams in a multi-faceted and demanding environment.
Demonstrated experience in the development of high quality and timely strategies and initiatives across a large organisation. Demonstrated experience for developing, maintaining, and influencing relationships and partnerships across sectors and organisations including clinicians, health providers, and Mori and Pacific Peoples groups. Demonstrated ability to think conceptually and anticipate the impact of decisions on long-term outcomes, including financial outcomes, and develop/recommend responses in consultation with key stakeholders.
The ability to compellingly communicate complex information and ideas in both oral and written communication to a range of audiences including senior management, Board and Ministers.
