The team manage a wide range of work, meaning that often no two days are the same. As the Team Leader, Analysis, you will be responsible for ensuring the teams business as usual processes run smoothly, including managing daily workflow. You'll be responsible for a mixture of both operational and development work including forecasting, analytics, process improvement and system design.
You will also lead team members to reach their full potential by providing mentoring and leadership support. As the team leader your work will involve: Responsibility for up to 6 direct reports who forecast the combined pharmaceutical spend for Aotearoa ($2.5B).
Process improvement including developing new data products and automation of manual processes. Reviewing tasks completed by analysts giving assurance of quality and accuracy. Alongside bringing people leadership experience, we are seeking candidates who bring hands on experience with data extraction and interrogation, reporting, and analysis. You will bring a proven track record of providing insights and process improvements. Our ideal candidate would bring: data analysis, forecasting and scenario modelling skills.
solid understanding of core financial concepts such as accruals, expenses, reconciliations, forecasts, budgets etc data manipulation experience using T-SQL (intermediate or advanced level), R or Python (desirable) intermediate excel. ideally some experience developing visualisations. We use Qlik but experience in other tools will help.
