Contract position available starting February 2024 teaching Trades Academy students for one or more days a week with the possibility of full-time hours for the right person. Perfect opportunity to gain teaching experience and ease your way into a teaching career. The Trades Academy provides secondary school students with a wonderful opportunity to try out a vocation they are interested in.
They can get a taste of what a job may be like and get hands on experience. Due to the strong demand for Trades Academy places, we are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified candidates to teach Engineering and Automotive students. Ideally, candidates will: Have appropriate Engineering or Automotive knowledge, skills and experience Be able to work alongside students and encourage learning with empathy for youth and learning styles highly important Demonstrate a positive attitude to safety procedures Ability to pass a police check A relevant qualification is desired but most importantly you must have a genuine interest in working with young adults and enthusiasm for sharing your knowledge.
