Deliver a professional, empathetic, and effective service to people, families and communities. Provide warm, dry and safe short-term accommodation for people in need, along with tailored support to transition to suitable and sustainable long-term accommodation.

Support and guide staff to deliver the Transitional Housing (TH) Contract. To represent The Salvation Army in local Housing forums, advocating for long term systemic change. Connecting people to Salvation Army Services and Corps programmes that enhance their current circumstances and that meet individual needs.

Preference will be given to a candidate who is Social Workers Registration Board New Zealand registered or who fulfils criteria to proceed to full registration Management experience Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent standard of computer literacy skills The ability to meet deadlines Full & clean drivers license Be legally entitled to work in New Zealand Able to work from both a bicultural and multicultural perspective; Demonstrates natural leadership qualities establishing great working relationships with staff, service users, peers.
