The VFX Coordinator is central to the visual effects project management.
This role plays an integral part in liaising with all aspects of production and post-production: external Client stakeholders, internal Producers, Supervisors and Artists. As the bridge between VFX Supervisors and Artists, the VFX Coordinator strategises, implements and communicates tasks crucial to the delivery of studio projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and on budget. RESPONSIBILITIES Works with Producers, Supervisors and Artists to track and manage workflow through the studio, while meeting internal and external deadlines.
Tracks and distributes incoming project elements and deliveries. Coordinates and complete submission of all deliverables. Organises reviews, dailies, rounds and meetings and follow up on information as necessary.
Takes detailed, comprehensive notes during dailies/rounds and distributes to relevant crew via the production database. Maintains an accurate summary of artist progress in the production database, with updated accurate task status. Ensures the production database is kept updated daily with notes and critical information before departing for the day.
If necessary, attends set with VFX Supervisor as needs require, coordinating call sheet information with the Production Office and on-set VFX team, recording and communicating relevant notes, wrangling VFX requirements with relevant departments as required. Accountable for coordinating reviews and task priorities to achieve on-time and resource-efficient delivery Engaging in communication tools provided for use - specifically Teams and fTrack. Prepare progress reports when requested and complete time logging on a daily basis.
