"Korero m te tranga| About the role We're looking for a Community Support Worker to join our integrated Adult Community Mental Health and Addiction service.

Your role will be pivotal in providing care to individuals dealing with severe mental illness and/or addiction in the Hawke's Bay community. M t mtou rp | About our team Our broader team is a dynamic mix of professionals, including Registered Nurses, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Community Support Workers, and administrative personnel. We all share a common passion for supporting our community members who are dealing with severe mental health and addiction challenges.

We are dedicated to working collaboratively with individuals to empower their journey towards recovery. Our focus is on helping those living with conditions such as psychotic disorders, severe personality disorders, severe anxiety disorders, major depression, alcohol and substance abuse issues, and co-existing conditions. We are looking for someone who can join our rural treatment team in Wairoa.

You will work alongside our two dedicated nurses who provide secondary care services to the Wairoa community. Mo | About you Qualifications and Experience: National Certificate in Mental Health Support Work Level 4 and relevant experience A valid, clean driver's license Working knowledge how to carry out basic physical health monitoring (including blood pressure); or be willing to learn Skills and Traits: Effective communication skills, with the ability to facilitate and nurture recovery and resilience High motivation to make a meaningful impact, offering support, encouragement, and engagement in community activities to aid recovery Advocacy for patients and their families, working collaboratively with clients, families, and colleagues Cultural awareness and the ability to integrate this into your practice A proactive and can-do attitude, and willing to contribute to the ongoing development of our service Ng hua | Benefits In house professional development Be a valued member of the team Work in a supportive environment Provided support from Clinicians Receive orientation and be precepted on starting Work Monday to Friday Work life balance Rewarding career This is an opportunity for you to work in a highly supportive and friendly team Why should you choose us?
