Te kwhiringa | The Opportunity The role of the ZH Advisor is focused primarily on providing technical support, coaching, and mentoring of the operational teams within their geographical location, to strive towards integrating ZH into that model. The success of the role and achievement of the position is measured on the effective ownership of ZH disciplines within all levels of the operational teams, from the planning stages of work activities through to successful completion and zero harm outcomes. Using a collaborative and engaging approach rather than one based solely on legal compliance, integrating ZH best practice disciplines into day-to-day work activities and operational mind set and behaviours will establish this post holder as the epitome of a best practice ZH Advisor.
Key result areas include: Risk Management Injury Management People Training, coaching and development Operational Excellence Safety, Environment, Quality & Risk Management Subcontractor Management Safety, Environment, Quality & Risk Management (Zero Harm) Nga pkenga matua | Important Skills Conversant with and ability to influence ZH in planning and implementation stages of work activities with aim to create a zero-harm culture. Experience in verification protocols aimed at attaining ACC Accredited Employer Programme accreditation. Conversant with and ability in effective rehabilitation as required under ACC Accredited Employer Programme.
Proven track record in driving a just culture that support ZH management, encouraging and rewarding excellence. Clear demonstration of coaching and mentoring capabilities that empower others to own and lead a positive ZH culture. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrates problem solving skills and use of initiative. Demonstrates a high level of Emotional Intelligence. The following Qualifications and / or Work Experience will be beneficial for this role: Formal qualification in ZH discipline to at least NZQA Level 4 or willingness to achieve over a given period.
Train the trainer qualification (desirable) or at least 2-year experience of delivering in house training to operational teams and line management. Minimum 3 years practical application and implementation of ZH process and disciplines in an operational environment.
