The Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV) began on 4 July 2022 and all employers wishing to hire migrant employees on an AEWV need to be accredited with Immigration New Zealand. Our extensive Employer Resources cover everything you need to know and more.

Accreditation Criteria
To hire migrants on the Accredited Employer Work Visa (AEWV), minimum standard requirements must be met.

The Job Check
Once employer accreditation is approved, a Job Check application can be made.

AEWA Information
Only when the Job Check token is issued can the AEWV work visa application be made.

The Green List
The Green List currently comprises of nearly 90 occupations, which are divided into Tier 1 and Tier 2 roles.

Tier One
An applicant must have existing employment, or an offer of employment for a role on the Tier 1 list.

Tier Two
To apply for residence through a Green List Tier 2 role, an applicant must have worked in a Tier 2 role in New Zealand for at least 24 months.

Highly Paid
Only work-experience gained in New Zealand after 29 September 2021 can be counted.
