Job Description Whakatupu Rawa, Whakatupu Tangata Grow the assets to grow the people. Mangatea Dairy, a 550-cow, iwi-owned farm, is seeking a dedicated Dairy Farm Manager for the 2025/26 season. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced farming professional to work collaboratively as a member of the TGH Natural Resources team to achieve financial and operational excellence.
About the Farm Situated centrally between Hamilton, Morrinsville, and Te Kauwhata, t his moderate-input farm prioritizes pasture-first management, supplemented with maize silage, pasture silage, and some PKE fed on the feed pad. Turnips are also grown as a summer feed source. The farm has consistently averaged 195,000 kgMS over the last three years across 191 effective hectares of flat to rolling terrain.
Key infrastructure includes: 44 ASHB milking shed Feed pad and standoff pad Two herd system, primarily Friesian with some Kiwi cross The Role As Dairy Farm Manager, you will work collaboratively within a group of farms that serve as kaitiaki (guardians) for the whenua (land) and iwi aspirations. You will have access to shared insights and work alongside the Dairy O perations Manager to optimize farm performance.
