Description New Zealand Football is seeking applications for the role of All Whites Athletic Performance Lead , a key member of our High Performance team. As the leader of the physical preparation programme for the All Whites, you will design and deliver a performance system that aligns with the All Whites game model and campaign plan.
This includes physical programming, integration of support services, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation processes. The role also supports the broader physical performance strategy for the mens pathway, ensuring alignment from U16s through to the senior team. Key Responsibilities Design and implement long- and short-term physical performance plans for the All Whites in line with campaign objectives.
Develop and deliver in-assembly programming including GPS, S&C, nutrition, recovery, and return-to-play protocols. Build relationships and systems that ensure seamless transitions for players between club and national environments. Oversee the delivery of aligned physical performance strategies across the male pathway (U16U20) and collaborate with A-League academies and club staff.
Support the integration and use of data to monitor player load, performance and progression in collaboration with NZFs Performance Sciences team. Travel with the All Whites and other teams as required. All Whites Athletic Performance Lead - JD.
docx Skills And Experiences We are seeking a candidate with: A degree in Sport and Exercise Science (or similar) and at least 5 years of experience in high performance environments. Demonstrated expertise in physical preparation for elite athletes, ideally within football or a similar high-performance sport. Proven ability to build strong working relationships with coaches, athletes, and performance support staff.
A data-informed mindset, with practical experience in integrating physical, medical and performance analysis information into applied settings.
