Job Description Based at Macraes Mine, you will assist with the safe and efficient maintenance, repairs and servicing of all mining machinery and ancillary plant/equipment under control of the open pit maintenance workshop. Complete credits towards the National Certificate in Motor Industry (Automotive Heavy Engineering - Level 4) as per the Apprenticeship plan. Key tasks and responsibilities: Repairs, maintenance and daily inspection of the mining fleet and other plant and equipment Daily servicing (refuelling and lubrication) of mining and ancillary plant when required Inspections of site facilities, tooling and other equipment as directed Replacements of machinery components Computer diagnostics and fault finding Maintaining high levels of housekeeping at all facilities, equipment and company vehicles Attending and repairing breakdowns of the mining fleet and ancillary plant Repair and rebuilding of machinery components Maintain the highest standards of safety, working towards company procedures Basic repairs to electrical systems on the mining fleet and ancillary plant.
