Job Description Area Sales Manager Location: Waikato, New Zealand 1 year Fixed-term contract role Looking for a different challenge as an Area Sales Manager for cow monitoring wearables whereby you can still utilise your skills? Dedicated and welcoming team Join a growing, yet already successful market Upskill and growth in an area youre passionate about, whilst being fully supported and encouraged Join a trusted Global leading Animal Health organisation What You Will Do Responsibilities include, however not limited to: Achieve sales targets and activity levels for assigned territory and products, namely SenseHub dairy monitoring and automation Develop and implement territory plans to achieve sales targets, regularly revising activity against achievement Build and maintain effective working relationships with customers and clients e.g. Farmers, Business Managers, Farm Managers, veterinarians, etc Utilize Technical Advisors within territory to influence customers and clients to assist in delivery of technical messaging and drive sales Leverage strong business relationships to deliver business results Identify and participate in all promotions with the goal of maximizing sales Provide technical and sales training activities to distributors/partners to ensure proper messaging is being transferred to the end user Ensure product complaint investigation, pricing queries, compliance issues and follow up requests are executed appropriately and within required timelines Provide corporate sales presentations to relevant consumer groups, customers & distributors Regularly analyse customer data to assist with territory, customer and pre-call planning, and the identification and targeting of high value customers Record customer interactions within CRM systems to inform next call objectives, and to assist in building a single view of the customer to inform marketing strategy and tactics Maintain a high level of product knowledge, as well as a broader understanding of Animal Health issues Maintain an active interest in improving selling skills, including company selling programs and key account management principals Ensure effective communication across the sales, technical and after service teams, share knowledge and participate positively in sales team meetings and marketing-initiated forums Monitor competitor activity, developing action plans to counteract within territory Keep Regional Sales Lead informed of competitor activity via regular reporting What You Must have Sales - this role requires experience and skill in rural sales, experience within the dairy sector would be an advantage.
