You will provide interest rate derivatives to a portfolio of top tier Corporate and Institutional Banking clients to assist them in managing these risks in their underlying business. Offering a high level of service via customer knowledge and thought leadership to achieve Trusted Advisor status, you will ideally: be an expert in relevant products and their role in managing risks that our clients face in their businesses.

develop a deep understanding of a clients business and the environment they operate in to understand the implications on key risk metrics to originate opportunities. be able to influence key stakeholders in FM, CIB, Credit, and Legal to originate FM opportunities from existing customers and support CIB in the origination of new to bank customers. proactively manage the customer relationships within both your portfolio and the broader NZ client portfolio.

understand cashflow-at-risk concepts and their relevance for treasury risk managers. understand implications of XVA pricing across products and how to structure derivatives to manage XVAs. work with the Corporate FX and Digital Distribution teams to provide a seamless provision of service across all FM products and distribution methods.

understand and adhere to regulatory requirements and support a strong risk culture. N tu rourou | What will you bring? A customer centric approach combined with experience executing derivative products for corporate clients and a solid understanding of compliance obligations. Exceptional understanding of relevant products and deal systems, to enable appropriate education of staff, customers, and bankers.

Relevant education and professional accreditation, including NZFMA Demonstrated relationship building & influencing skills. Demonstrated inherent qualities of curiosity and ability to challenge the status quo to deepen customer relationships and simplify existing processes. Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to understand market concepts efficiently.
