Job Description Were seeking an experienced and proactive Building and Facilities Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and presentation of our spectacular lakeside property, Oaks Queenstown Shores Resort, which has just undergone an extensive and exciting transformation. As Building and Facilities Manager, youll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth, efficient, and visually impeccable operation of our resort, with a strong focus on optimizing performance, profitability, and guest satisfaction.
You'll also act as a key liaison with the Body Corporate, fostering strong relationships with owners and residents to ensure their needs are consistently met. This role is part of Minor Hotels Australasia, a leading hotel group with a growing portfolio of 65 properties across Australia and New Zealandand more on the horizon. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the operation and maintenance of all critical building systems including electrical, mechanical, fire protection, pest control, security, and hydraulic services, ensuring compliance and excellence. Supervise all repairs, maintenance, and cleaning of common areas in line with the Caretaking Agreement. Prepare and manage building-related documentation such as maintenance reports and plant and service schedules.
Accurately allocate owner and Body Corporate expenses in accordance with the Building Manager Agreement. Maintain strong, professional relationships with owners, residents, tenants, contractors, and staff, acting as a representative of the Management Group at all times. Possess and apply extensive knowledge of building by-laws and Caretaking obligations, ensuring full compliance.
Monitor and report any breaches of building by-laws to the Owners Corporation, supporting a safe and harmonious environment.
