We're partnering with a main contractor to secure a highly capable Building Services Manager for a significant new development in the vibrant city of Napier. This is a fantastic chance to take ownership of all building services aspects for approximately the next two years, leaving a lasting impact on the local landscape.

What you'll be doing: You'll be the driving force behind the successful delivery of all building services on this major project. This is a hands-on, site-based role where you'll be responsible for: Providing expert leadership and coordination for all building services packages, including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, fire protection, and communication systems. Ensuring seamless integration of these services throughout the construction process.

Working closely with the services consultants, the main contractor's wider project team, subcontractors, and other stakeholders. Driving quality, safety, and efficiency across all building services installations. Proactively identifying and resolving any technical challenges or coordination issues.

What you'll bring to the table: We're looking for an experienced and results-oriented individual who can hit the ground running ideally starting in June. To be successful in this role, you'll ideally possess: A relevant Tertiary Qualification in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering. A minimum of 6 years of proven experience within the building services sector.

While experience working directly for a main contractor is highly advantageous, we will also consider candidates with a strong track record gained within a subcontractor environment. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships at all levels.
