Description Te Tranga | About the Role Silver Fern Farms is looking for an experienced and delivery-focused risk professional to take ownership of high-priority projects that strengthen how we understand and manage risk across our business and supply chain. As Business Risk Manager , youll lead the delivery of targeted workstreams across procurement, operational risk, strategic planning, and worker rights, driving outcomes that are practical, scalable, and grounded in a commercial understanding of risk. This role is hands-on and autonomous on several fronts, designed for someone who can take ownership, work independently, and get things done.

Youll work cross-functionallypartnering with members of our Senior Management Group and our Regional Risk team, to deliver meaningful changes across key areas like vendor due diligence, climate risk disclosures, and business continuity planning. This is a 6-month fixed term position, focused on delivering impact on the key areas above. Our preference is for Dunedin-based candidates, but were open to considering applications from Auckland or Christchurch as well.

Your key focus areas will include: Conducting a full procurement and supply chain risk review, including vendor code of conduct alignment Supporting human rights due diligence, particularly in relation to supply chain and worker rights Driving updates to operational and plant-level risk practices and tools in collaboration with our Regional Risk Management team Evaluating opportunities to improve and streamline our approach to business continuity management Providing pragmatic and commercial insights to improve risk culture, capability, and reporting across functions u Pkenga | About You Youre someone who can navigate ambiguity, connect the dots, and move from problem to solution with minimal handholding. You think strategically, act pragmatically, and have the analytical skill to cut through complexity, whether your background is in law, engineering, consulting, or risk. Youll likely bring: Experience delivering risk, governance, or resilience projects in complex organisations Familiarity with supply chains, manufacturing, or primary industry environments A commercial mindsetthis is not an audit role; were looking for someone who can solve problems, not just spot them Confidence working across stakeholders and disciplines, with a proven ability to take ownership and follow through Comfort operating independently and with grey areasable to create structure where none exists This is a rare opportunity to step into a six-month role with scope, autonomy, and real impactsupporting Silver Fern Farms to strengthen our enterprise risk foundations and turn insight into action.
