We are seeking a Cafe Assistant/Duty Manager to contribute to supporting the development of a high performing team. The position holder must hold a current Duty Manager License and must be able to make a great coffee! Key Result Areas Service Delivery Serves customers in the Licensed Caf Assists with ordering supplies and other ordering when required Assists with scheduled stock taking Checks stock received against invoices as required Arranges displays of stock and food Assists in the preparation of morning and afternoon teas, lunches, evening takeaways and meals for special operations Prepares hot and cold drinks, specialty coffees and teas Replenishes food, beverage, and shop supplies to always ensure adequate stock control within the Licensed Caf Ensures working/serving areas, equipment, and supplies (for preparation, presentation and/or consuming of food and beverages) are hygienic, well stocked and presented at all times Undertakes dishwashing and cleaning duties within the Caf including cleaning tables and chairs Ensures at the end of the night the takings paperwork is filled out and placed in the safe Ensures the Licensed Caf and Kitchen area is secured and locked at closing time General Management Contributes to a safe environment by integrating safety and health into all aspects of work practices and places of work Contributes to ensuring that all equipment, serving areas and facilities associated with the Caf are fit for purpose, clean and hygienic, well presented, meet client needs and comply with all relevant health, safety and hygiene regulations and standards Ensures all instruction and use of equipment is in accordance with standards and policy outlined in policy and procedure guidelines in relation to Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) requirements Contributes to the identification of OSH issues within the workplace and ensures they are dealt with appropriately Contributes to an atmosphere where being responsive to customer needs is the first priority Communicates effectively and professionally with colleagues, staff and customers Team Work Supports the development of a high performing team Encourages and supports open, honest, and constructive relationships with team members Actively participates and encourages a team approach throughout the Catering & Events Group Manages time effectively and works with others to achieve optimum resource use and "best result" for the organisation and to ensure consistency of approach Maintains the highest standards of professionalism in all situations and interactions with colleagues and clients "By applying for this job, you confirm you have read www.adecco.
