ATNZ is offering the New Zealand Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Advanced) (Level 5), a comprehensive programme designed to develop highly skilled tradespeople with advanced technical skills and supervisory capabilities. This qualification is NZQA approved and provides specialist training for individuals aiming to significantly contribute to business success in various engineering contexts.

Graduate Outcomes Upon completion, graduates will be able to: Apply workplace health and safety practices and promote a safety culture. Demonstrate advanced technical and operational skills in engineering processes. Plan and manage projects, operations, or complex jobs.

Lead the application of systems, processes, and continuous improvement. Conduct technical investigations and report findings. Provide training and mentoring to others in the workplace.

Employment Outcomes Graduates will be prepared for roles such as Senior Tradesperson, Foreperson, Specialist Engineer, Supervisor, Workshop Supervisor, Process Champion, Project Manager, Maintenance Engineering Supervisor, Leading Hand, Team Leader, Site Supervisor/Manager, and Technical Advisor in various industries including mechanical engineering, fabrication, construction, manufacturing, and mechanical building services. Education Pathways This qualification builds on the New Zealand Certificate in Mechanical Engineering (Trade) (Level 4) and similar Level 4 qualifications. Graduates may progress to the New Zealand Diploma in Engineering (Level 6) with strands in various engineering disciplines.

Entry Requirements Relevant Level 4 qualification in mechanical engineering or a related field. Employed in an engineering role. Employers commitment to support the learners training and development.
