The Organisation: Civtec was established in 2014 and provides civil, and utilities infrastructure works across telecommunications, three waters, and energy. The Role: Overall operational management of North Island function. Supporting the achievement of the business units operational and strategic goals. Reporting to the North Island Operations Manager, this role forms part of the Operational Management Team.

You will be a savvy, driven, and competent Project Manager leading the operational delivery for our North Island Build business. Providing sound advice and guidance to the team to ensure that performance goals are being met and unlocking opportunities for efficiency and improvement. As the Civil Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for the following: Project Planning Lead the team to deliver efficient, contract-compliant projects aligned with Civtec processes.

Communicate, lead, and implement the operational plan across all projects. Manage the project pipeline to maintain a sustainable workload matched to available resources. Financial Mangement Optimise use of personnel and capital to deliver high-quality, profitable outcomes.

Strong financial management to ensure projects are managed within budget. Risk and Quality Implement health, safety and quality control procedures to ensure work meets required standards. Conduct site inspections and audits as required.

Leadership Lead with integrity, using Civtec values to guide decisions and team culture. Set clear expectations, drive accountability, and support team performance. Role model best practices and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

Deliver on commitments adhering to Civtec policies and procedures as well as statutory obligations. To be successful in this role, we are seeking candidates with: A qualification in Civil Engineering At least 7 years experience in an operational leadership role within the civil construction industry Proven experience in a leadership role within the industry. Relevant business management experience and/or Business qualification Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate, and drive for results.

A high level of management, communication, and interpersonal skills. P &L Management and knowledge of best practice financial controls. Confident communicator and team player.
