About the Role This is a part or full-time (up to 40 hours per week), permanent clinical pharmacist position. This role would suit a pharmacist with at least three years of clinical hospital experience. This role will encompass both ward-based clinical and dispensary activities, with the support of dedicated pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
The role includes participation in ward rounds, medicines reconciliation, discharge counselling, dispensary services, and promoting the safe and quality use of medicines. Areas of clinical opportunities may include medical, surgical, cardiology, paediatrics, and others. You would be expected to provide high-quality, effective clinical pharmacy services with a focus on improving patient outcomes and ensuring optimal medicines utilisation.
About the Team/Service/Location The pharmacy team is well respected by clinicians, nursing staff, and senior management across the organisation, and is constantly looking at ways to improve the service and care it delivers. As a pharmacy department, we have a strong clinical presence across all areas of the hospital and linkages into our local community. We provide a comprehensive range of pharmaceutical care and extended roles to a variety of clinical areas.
