Engender Technologies is at the forefront of innovation in the dairy industry with our unique technology for gender selection at the sperm stage. As we transition from research to commercialization, we are looking for a skilled CNC Machinist - Junior/Intermediate to join our dynamic team! In this role, you will support our R&D team by operating CNC machines and manual machines such as Mills, Lathes, and Surface Grinders. You will play a vital role in the development of groundbreaking tools for microfluidic cell sorting, assisting in both the production and fabrication of components essential to our sorting platform.
Key responsibilities include: Fabrication and production of precision components as per specifications. Setting up, running, and maintaining CNC mills. Contributing to the improvement of fabrication processes.
Preparing assembly drawings and maintaining documentation for component designs. Assisting in the analysis and presentation of project outcomes. Participating in discussions to enhance fabrication techniques.
Performing routine inspections and maintenance on machinery. Adhering to health and safety policies, fostering a positive team culture. Requirements To be successful in this role, candidates should possess: A qualification as a CNC Machinist, ideally with 1-3 years of relevant experience.
Experience in planning and machining complex engineering components using manual and CNC machines. The ability to operate a CNC machine center independently. Familiarity with industry-standard CNC controls, such as Mitsubishi, Fanuc, Haas, or Arumatik.
An understanding of G code programming from CAD/CAM software. Experience with micromachining of plastics (preferred). Basic to intermediate experience using CAD/CAM software like Fusion 360, Solidworks, or GibbsCAM.
The ability to read and interpret mechanical design drawings. Familiarity with common machining tools (lathe, manual mill, surface grinder). A genuine interest in R&D and a willingness to explore new machining techniques.
Strong communication skills and a collaborative attitude within the R&D team. A focus on continuous improvement of systems and processes while ensuring quality and safety. A strong work ethic and effective time management abilities.
