As the Collection Development and Access Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the library's offeringsbooks, multimedia, digital resources, periodicals, and more.

You'll lead a dedicated team, manage collection budgets, oversee acquisitions and deselections, and ensure our systems and resources remain relevant, accessible, and engaging. This is a permanent full-time position to be worked according to a five-week rotating roster with Saturday and Sunday shifts on week 4. What you'll do: Leading, motivating and developing a high-performing team.

Managing strategic collection development and acquisitions in line with community needs and policy. Working closely with vendors, community organisations, and council departments. Overseeing collection data analysis and reporting to guide improvements.

Leading enhancements to our Library Management System (LMS). Supporting customers and staff with a strong focus on digital literacy and user experience. What you'll bring: A tertiary qualification in Library Science, Information Management or equivalent.

At least five years' experience in a senior library role. Proven experience in collection development and library systems. A collaborative and proactive leadership style.

Strong understanding of metadata, cataloguing, and classification standards. Excellent communication, analytical and digital skills. Flexibility and a willingness to work evenings and weekends as required.
