Responsibilities may Include: Assisting with personal cares (showering, bathing) Assisting with household management and meal preparation Assisting with accessing the community Bowel, Bladder, and Catheter cares Medication support Moving and handling hoists and manual transfers Programmes that restore Health and Wellbeing Job Location: Invercargill and Southland region Employment Type: Part-Time (Up to 29 Hours) or Casual (Cover Shifts) Days of Work: As this is community-based work, rotating rosters would be involved including AM, PM, and weekend work.

There are many responsibilities associated with being a support worker which can be challenging and fulfilling. The candidate would have (Candidate Pre-Requisites): Ideally prior personal care experience is preferred, but it not essential A Level 3 or Level 4 Health and Wellbeing qualification is beneficial and those looking to enter the healthcare sector will also be considered (comprehensive training can be provided) Flexibility and reliability to work on a rotating roster Access to a reliable car and ability to drive independently (a full New Zealand Driver's License is a must) Legal right to work in New Zealand is a must Benefits | Ki te huanga Pay Band: $24.
13 - $30.03 per hour (This is based on the Pay Equity Settlement 2017 hourly pay rates based on equivalency of Healthcare Qualifications assessed under Pay Equity).
