As the Company Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in providing effective financial management and work within a team of three people.

Critical responsibilities will include: Strategic Support: As a key member of the Finance Team, you will contribute to the long-term success of DEFEND by executing our strategies and fostering a positive team environment.
You will actively participate in governance and planning activities, collaborate with the wider team, and identify opportunities for continuous business improvement. Financial Accounting & Management: You will ensure end-to-end effective governance and management of the organisation's financial interests. This includes assisting with financial planning and forecasting, month-end reporting, treasury and tax management.
You will take ownership of revenue integrity, cost management, general accounting, payroll management, and run the month-end process including P&L reporting, Balance Sheet Reconciliations, Cashflow and variance analysis. You will implement continuous improvement of internal financial controls and suggestions for policy improvements, ensuring compliance and accurate reporting. Financial Collaboration: Your role will involve assisting the Financial Controller with sustainable forecasts and working to align the day-to-day operations with the strategic vision of the organisation.
You will engage with stakeholders to ensure accuracy and alignment of our financial information with forecasted product and projects outcomes.
